But - you can already start today. For the next feature that is planned, use some modeling technique (can be Event Storming) and "draw" the entire process. Make sure that it fits entirely to your domain. Maybe you will already spot some issues. Then continue with the next ones - make it a habit. Then, you whenever you have a chance to dive into the entire business area (e.g., Invoicing, or Warehousing) and model it - do it. Organize workshops with stakeholders and domain experts, and go through the business analysis.
MJ, as always, great content! Over last few years I spotted different kind of architects and unfortunately most of them matched the first two group with the majority in the first one.
It was especially visible in bigger companies were the architect was a single person role taken for years by guy who became detached either from business or tech trends.
