Want to write a technical book? Think twice. Here is my story of self-publishing a software architecture book—from the initial decision through writing, pricing, and real sales numbers.
It was 10k followers on LinkedIn, 1k subscribers of my newsletter. Yep, I think it is the most important part when it comes to self-publishing - the more, the better.
Thank you for sharing this self-reflection story. As someone in a similar starting position, it's very insightful and useful. I would have liked to read a little more about the post-launch activities and if any of them have led to more opportunities. Did the universe answer your call by opening more doors for you?
It opened some doors, yes. At the same time, I wouldn't say it was a game-changer.
But the coolest thing is when someone you don't know approaches you to say they read your book and it was worth it. This is perhaps the greatest gift from the universe :)
PS I might be summing up post-launch activities but most likely it will take place after a year from the launch
